Zuzana Kaššová – herbs

Zuzana Kaššová has known herbs and plants since childhood. The whole family is involved in caring for nature, growing plants in the gardens, drying herbs and mushrooms. Herbs are plants that heal and add comfort to everyday life. They are dried in the shade in a ventilated place. Each plant needs some special drying procedure to ensure that the loss of medicinal substances is minimised. The dried herbs are stored in glass jars in a dry and dark place. She collects herbs in meadows, pastures, hillsides, forest edges, in the mountain areas of the Novohrad region /Dobrý potok, Starý vŕšok…/. She also grows some herbs in her garden near her house. From herbs she brews medicinal teas, makes herbal creams, tinctures, macerates, decoctions.
