Ivana Kútiková – herbs

She collects herbs from March to September in safe organic locations, digging up the roots in spring and autumn. The herbs and roots are dried and then stored in glass containers, paper or canvas bags. The herbal syrups are made from unrefined sugar and chlorine-free water. The syrups are not sterilised to preserve as much of the natural active ingredients as possible, sometimes they are pasteurised to 80 degrees, so they need to be kept in the refrigerator (shelf life about 12 months).
