Mária Podlesná – herbs

I am a mother of two children, and in addition to parental leave, I started to work with herbs. Just 1 flower from my grandmother – Coleus amboinicus was enough and it all started. It opened my eyes to how many beautiful herbs we have around us. I am engaged in the production of herbal ointments, herbal bath salts, lip balms, and tinctures. I make and process everything by hand. I use locally sourced ingredients, beeswax directly from the beekeepers. I also grow herbs at home, but I go to the surrounding forests and meadows to find some types of herbs. In 2023, my herbal ointments were awarded and received the „title“ of regional product of Novohrad. You can meet me with my herbs at various fairs, but also at cultural events at the Blue Stone Castle (Modrý Kameň).
