The Calvary in Modrý Kameň is located in the immediate vicinity of the Blue Stone Castle (Modrý Kameň Castle). At the beginning of the 18th century, it was built by the Apostolic Count Paul Balasa. Its description and mention comes from 1789. The Apostolic Count tried to make the best use of the Calvary Hill. When he obtained indulgences for the Calvary, people travelled here from far and wide. It consists of two chapels and ten Stations of the Cross. Just a few dozen metres further uphill from the highest chapel stands a large cross. The Calvary is surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Forest Steppe of Modrý Kameň.
