The exposition opened in 1992. It consists of homestead No. 142 in the centre of the conservation reserve of folk architecture Skalné obydlia (Rock dwellings) in Brhlovce. It comprises a late 19th century brick house, a brick house dating from 1932 and rooms cut into the rock over two floors. On the ground floor there is a summer kitchen, a pantry and displays of masonry products and tools, on the first floor there is an observation deck and a small chamber. The interior is furnished according to the function of each room with period furniture and inventory and documents a special form of folk building and living from the end of the 19th century to the 1950s.
